The RLC’s Joint Helicopter Squadron (JHSS) is working with The Royal Air Force to help reinforce the dam at Whaley Bridge following its part collapse.
JHSS has been working with 27 Squadron, “The Dam Fixers”, from The Royal Air Force around the clock to drop hundreds of tonnes of aggregate into the breach in the dam.
It has been a fantastic effort by all concerned.
More than 1,500 people have been evacuated from the Derbyshire town over the last week following heavy rain.
