RLC Connect has rebranded to the Royal Logistic Corps Institution. This marks a deliberate and strategic step forward in support of the RLC Strategy for 2030.

As we grow in influence and impact, the term Institution better reflects the seriousness and formality with which we are approaching our mission: to bring together the Corps, related industry and academia in the pursuit of professional excellence.

The new name captures our intent to play a more recognised and structured role in shaping the future of the military logistics profession – supporting innovation, thought leadership, and collaboration at the highest levels. It aligns with our broader strategic vision and the expectations of the increasingly diverse and aspirational community of RLC soldiers that we serve.

The RLC Institution team is based at HQ 101 Log Bde, Wellington House, St Omer Barracks, Aldershot. GU11 2BG.

We plan and coordinate all Institution activity and work as part of the Regimental Headquarters of the RLC.

Our Method

Engage with professional organisations and academia to coordinate and expand existing Accreditation Certification and Educational Courses for the benefit of RLC soldiers and officers across all RLC Trades.

Provide a focus for The RLC’s professional excellence and engagement with external logistics organisations from industry, academia, professional bodies and the professional media and facilitate engagement with them.
Promote exchanges of ideas, experiences and concepts between RLC soldiers and officers and the appropriate civilian/commercial organisations.
Promote engagement of RLC soldiers and officers in RLC Connect activities and especially their interaction with industry and showcase the capabilities and qualities of RLC soldiers and officers to the civilian logistics community.
Coordinate ‘thought leadership’ in military logistics by ensuring the Corps remains abreast of leading edge commercial logistic practices.
