The Council of The Royal Army Service Corps and Royal Corps of Transport
The Objective of the RASC & RCT Council is to provide Governance and Oversight to the RASC & RCT Association and the RASC & RCT Officers’ Club. It will assist these organisations to maintain the History, Legacy and Past Contribution of the RASC and RCT to the British Army.
This is achieved by maintaining contact between former members of the RASC and the RCT and former and serving members of The Royal Logistic Corps and its Forming Corps, fostering mutual friendship between them and providing for social gatherings. The aim is to nurture esprit de corps, fellowship, camaraderie for members and to preserve our traditions. Through Benevolence it is able to relieve, either generally or individually, members of the Association and their dependants who are in need, hardship or distress.
Since convergence with The Royal Logistic Corps (RLC), the purpose of the RASC & RCT Council is to maintain an active oversight and interest in the proud heritage, articles and traditions of the RASC and RCT; our Regimental Chattels. All funds and the RCT Medal Collection have been gifted to The RLC, so to provide this supervision our President is a Trustee of the RLC Charity. The RASC & RCT Council also provides representation to the RLC’s Heritage and Benevolence Committees.
