The Structure of the RAOC Association

The governance of the RAOC Association is the responsibility of the RAOC Council and the RAOC Executive Committee.

The RAOC Association is based on a branch structure, which includes 16 regional branches and 11 national branches which encompass trades, sporting interests, specialists and widows. Our Branches have a chairman and secretary and hold their own meetings and events. The RAOC Association’s branches come together twice a year at the RAOC Reunion and on Rembrance Sunday, where branch representatives participate as part of the RAOC contingent on the Cenotaph parade.

The RLC Aquatics open water swimming team made history! Led by WO1 Shawn Bailey MBE, the incredible team completed a two-way swim across the English Channel, from England to France and back again, with a total swim time of 22 hours and 16 minutes. This phenomenal achievement marks them as the first ever mixed military relay team to conquer this feat, and the first in RLC history to do so. Since 1875, only 48 other teams have achieved this, and they are the only military team this century to join them.Through relentless training, unshakable determination, and exceptional skill, they also raised £7885 for military charities during our journey. Huge congrats to the team: WO1 Shawn Bailey MBE, Maj Clive Allford, Maj John Howell, Maj Paul Vidler, Capt Lucy Powell, Cpl Kelly May and Cpl Emma Meechan #WeAreTheRLC #youbelonghere #wesustain ...
