The RLC Foundation first event

The development of the RLC Foundation continues at pace. Our first event took place on 21 May in London  and was generously hosted by PA Consulting.

Forty six people attended from The RLC, Industry and Academia and were treated to two presentations; one from Brigadier Martin Moore and the second from Annie Lakovaki of PA Consulting. The presentations generated good questions and a number of themes emerged. Most importantly  we need to develop closer engagement with Industry to learn the language of modern supply chain operations, to look at sharing experience through work attachments and visits to exercises. We also need to ensure that the training and education that RLC soldiers and officers receive is properly accredited and recognised by Industry. Loads more to do and we will keep you posted.

The Royal Logistic Corps

The RLC Rowing Club recently had five rowers selected to represent the Army at the Joint Service Regatta held in Peterborough. Lt Jack Aldridge (ATO Cse) and Maj Charlie Peterson (ARRC) won both won their races in coxed fours, while 2Lt Jamie Wastling (150 Regt RLC), Pte Ben Smith (158 Regt RLC) and Lt Col Nicola Roberts (Army HQ) all came second in their various races. A great performance from the RLC crowd topped off by a ceremony at which the Army's new boat was named after Brig Adam McRae MBE (DA Iraq) - the President of both RLC and Army rowing.#BritishArmyLogistics #WeAreTheRLC ...
