WO2 Simon Jeffery RLC, employer engagement public, Reserve Forces & Cadets organised the recent cross-Government Reserves event in support of Reserves Day.
The Civil Service Reserves Breakfast Reception was hosted by The Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP, The Secretary of State for Defence, at No 10 Downing Street.
During the reception the SofS for Defence took the time to speak to most of the 150+ Reserves from the Civil Service who were in attendance.
Other senior Army personnel in attendance were DCFA Maj Gen O’Learly and HD of Reserves Brig Gerhard Wheeler.
WO2 Jeffery would like to thank Maj Richard Lewis and Maj Ian Macdonald because they have been key enablers of a number of Reserve events, including this reception.
The Civil Service Reserves makes up just short of 5% of the ‘Whole Force’ figure for Reserves.
