The UK Armed Forces Equestrian Championships (UKAF

The UK Armed Forces Equestrian Championships (UKAFEC) brought incredible competition to Bury Farm Equestrian Centre! The event featured dressage, showjumping, and for the first time ever showing, as teams from the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, and Emergency Services battled it out.The RLC team shone brightly, with standout performances, from Maj Hewins, 2Lt Leung, Cpl Dodds and Cpl McLean-Ward.Interested in joining the action? On 31 October The Master, Mrs Catherine Carr of The Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers signed the Armed Forces Covenant along with Col Powell, Colonel RLC, who signed on behalf of the Armed Forces.In attendance were Members of the Company’s Armed Forces affiliations including The Royal Logistic Corps, 814 NAS Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Force the Kings Colour Squadron, Music Services and RAF Northolt, along with Veterans and still serving members from the Regular and the Reserve Forces.

Exercise Northern Strike was the ultimate test of grit, determination, and teamwork. Regiments from across the Royal Logistic Corps competed in a series of challenging military skills, from vehicle recognition to battlefield casualty drills.After tackling these stands, teams set off on an 8km weighted march, pushing through obstacles before moving straight into the RMT, where they swiftly transported vital supplies under pressure. A sharp test of accuracy followed on the 25m range, then a final 2km weighted run—finishing with a stretcher carry. True resilience and camaraderie were on full display!#WeAreTheRLC #youbelonghere #wesustain

7 Regiment RLC came together for a special Orzel Day parade, honouring remarkable achievements of the regiment. King’s Coronation Medals and operational medals were presented by Maj Gen D Capps CBE in his final duty as RLC Colonel Commandant, alongside Brig A Gearey OBE and Maj Gen (Retd) C Steirn CBE. The day ended with celebratory dinners, bringing together officers, WOs, SNCOs, and soldiers to reflect on a year of dedication and success. #WeAreTheRLC #youbelonghere #wesustain
