On 5 Dec 19 the Commando Logistic Support (LS) Sqn RLC received two awards during a visit from the 3 Cdo Bde commander, Brig Matt Jackson DSO.
The Sqn was awarded a Commandant General Royal Marines (Maj Gen Holmes CBE DSO) commendation for its efforts over the last two years on the sporting, military skills and trade efforts. The Sqn maintained a winning streak whilst also simultaneous deploying to Oman/USA/Norway and embarking on RN ships to support 3 Cdo Bde. This was made even more notable as the Sqn strength is 81 soldiers (4 of whom are RM).
The second award was the Clifford Coates Trophy, awarded to the best Sqn during 2019 that took part in the CO’s annual sporting series of events. Commando Logistic Regiment RM is made up of 7 Sqn’s and some 850 personnel – the majority are RM.
Pictured is CGRM's citation and the Bde Comd with Cpl Limbu and Pte Harris. Simply fantastic achievements by a minor unit. #WeAreTheRLC @LSSqn.CdoLogs ... See MoreSee Less
