In January 1917 the 62nd Division went to France – a second line territorial unit, it had no experience of the realities of the Western Front and its first engagements were disastrous. But by 1918 it was acknowledged to be one of the most reliable and aggressive units in the army.

In August 2008 16 Air Assault Brigade planned and executed the transportation and protection of seven electricity turbine components from Kandahar Airfield to the Kajaki Dam in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.This talk will focus in on the dangers posed by the enemy and the multiple challenges faced.
